It’s sad thing when a country has more states that won’t allow someone to hold public office because of their beliefs than it does states that allow gays and lesbians to marry. WTF America?! What happened to the First Amendment?! Can we so easily throw out the foundations our forefathers set down for us, picking and choosing the ones that benefit whoever is making the decisions at any given time? It’s ridiculous!

AND… Parks and Rec is apparently renewed for a “full-season” (so 22 episodes, not 13) according to Jim O’Heir (Jerry) over Twitter. If he’s wrong then he pulled a Jerry, but most likely he’s correct. Also TV Guide is reporting this as well!

I was honestly beginning to feel like I was the only person who thought Big Bang Theory was overrated and stupid. I think of myself as a fairly “nerdy” person, and under normal circumstances I’d probably get a chuckle out of a lot of the more intellectually based jokes (I have a chem major friend who makes similar ones all the time and has a much more interesting personality than the characters in the show). It annoys me that a majority of the people who watch the show a) may not truly understand some jokes and only laugh because they’re supposed to and b) would probably make fun of someone if they would’ve told them in real life. The aforementioned friend only tells those jokes in the company of people who understand them and on the occasions when someone who doesn’t is present, he is treated with the expected responses-blank stare, confusion, and/or a “That was stupid.” If you need to take a year or two of a science class to understand a joke, it generally doesn’t make for good comedy…unless Sheldon tells it apparently. Then it becomes hilarious.
